We are looking for a Shop Hand / Wash Bay Attendant to join our team in Fort St. John, BC. This position is ideal for someone who is motivated, detail-oriented, and enjoys working with equipment. Responsibilities
- Operate wash bay equipment to clean trucks, trailers, and heavy machinery.
- Assist mechanics with parts cleaning, tool organization, and basic shop duties.
- Maintain shop and yard cleanliness, ensuring a safe work environment.
- Perform basic inspections on equipment to confirm readiness after cleaning.
- Handle pressure washing, degreasing, and other cleaning procedures safely.
- Report hazards, equipment concerns, or safety incidents promptly.
- Support shop operations as needed, including inventory handling and equipment movement.
- Participate in safety meetings and comply with all company safety standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience in a shop, wash bay, or equipment cleaning role is an asset but not required.
- Physically fit, able to handle repetitive tasks, lifting, and outdoor work in varying conditions.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license preferred.
Safety certifications (e.g., WHMIS, CSTS, First Aid) are an asset.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Wage: $18 – $23 per hour, depending on experience.
