Job Description
- Operate Class 1 tractor trailer units including end dumps and heavy haul
- Haul aggregates, materials, and equipment to and from job sites and pits
- Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, or dozers as needed
- Load trucks, manage stockpiles, and support site operations
- Perform pre trip inspections on trucks and daily checks on equipment
- Ensure all loads are secured and compliant with regulations
- Work within site traffic patterns and maintain awareness of ground crews
- Communicate with supervisors, dispatch, and other operators
Report mechanical issues, hazards, and delays immediately
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 licence with air brake endorsement
- Proven experience operating Class 1 trucks in construction or heavy haul
- Demonstrated experience operating heavy equipment in a work environment
- Strong understanding of load securement and Hours of Service regulations
- Ability to work independently and switch between roles efficiently
- Clean driver’s abstract

- Proper PPE and safe operating practices at all times
- Zero tolerance for unsafe operation or impairment
